Experience
Both Musical and Liturgical
I have considerable experience working with religious music
and hymns, and playing such music on instruments from the organ and piano
to the clarinet. I have served as a substitute organist for several churches
in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Organ
While I had played the organ for years, I began officially studying the instrument in 2021 under Sándor Kádár of the First Presbyterian Church in West Chester, PA, with an AGO NEXT scholarship. Since starting lessons, I have been playing the organ weekly at my church, Augustus Lutheran in Trappe, PA.
Service Playing
I have played services at churches of several Christian denominations, from Lutheran to Brethren. In the past, I have worked with a choir, accompanying hymns, and anthems, and even have experience working with a chorister leading the congregation.
Other Instruments
Aside from organ, I play various other instruments, including clarinet and piano. This year, I was selected for the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association Region VI and District 11 Band Festivals on clarinet. Additionally, I have been playing the piano for over a decade and have included it many times in my services.

Liturgical Understanding
Since I was very young, I have been involved in the church, meaning I have an advanced understanding of what makes up a Sunday service. I have extensive experience working with the liturgy and hymns typically used in service, along with the significance of each piece.
